Where there is a will, there is a way...

Where there is a will, there is a way...
Where there is a will, there is a way!

WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY...

This has been my favourite proverb from my teenage years, I have frequently seen myself telling this to myself and to other people and using it for motivation and to keep pushing.

Fame, Power, success, Money – most of us if I can’t say all of us wish for these milestones in our lives, but many a times we do not succeed in achieving them and mechanically we tend to curse our fate. It has become very easy to blame someone else for the results of our inactions and procrastination rather than taking a stand and admitting our own mistakes.  While this provides us a temporary relief and a short time distraction,  eventually one day we will end up being questioned by own conscience and then the ugly truth shall haunt us- we have only ourselves to blame for our failures.

It is brilliant to want something and dream about it, but it is also equally important to come forward with the same zeal to carry forth with the plan of action to achieve those dreams. Dreaming is the visualisation of your successes and goals but to really achieve victory you need to enter the battlefield. How many of us give up without even starting the battle?

When someone truly desires something from the bottom of his heart, he tries to reach it with all his efforts and willpower. If the will power is strong enough anything can be achieved. You only have to persist. Persistence is the key. It is only lack of determination, discipline and persistence which bring forth failures.

At first your dreams will seem to be overwhelming and impossible, but you just have to believe in it and believe in yourself to be able to achieve it. Sit down and analyse it. Imagine it as a tall ladder on which you are being scared to climb due to its height, now break it down in smaller parts, and imagine each part being one of the stairs of the ladder and work on climbing on each individual stairs one at a time. When you reach half of it, you will be amazed by the view rather than being scared of the height and you will be more enthusiastic and determined to reach to the top and relish the fruits of your hard-work and perseverance.

We are often inspired by the examples of those who have become successful. Kiran Bedi, the first lady IPS officer, struggled hard and became successful; Sachin Tendulkar has achieved fame worldwide; Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a simple person became the Prime Minister of India; late President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam achieved the highest pinnacle, all because of their sheer will power. P.T. Usha has also proved that age can no longer be an obstacle on the road to success. Would it be possible for them to become great without the backing of strong willpower?

Do not blame fate; for only those who struggle, become successful. Fate is  only one of the role players in our lives. Willpower is important to conquer fate. Nothing is impossible if we try. With the help of willpower one can achieve anything. A small sparrow creates a beautiful nest with the help of her willpower. It is an art, which comes from her will  to protect her off-springs. Willpower gives us courage and energy to win. We should always remember that fortune favours the brave.

We should be like a bird and let no net ensnare us, we should be a  free human being with an independent will because …Where there is a will, there is a way...
