Very often we immediately assume that a doctor politician or a professor must be a man, but then realized our mistake. Have you ever walked into a meeting and imagined the CEO to be a male and not female? If so, wait there! Why is it that we often assume that those powerful positions should be men? Why do we have this tendency to equate leadership with masculinity?

Based on studies, we can conclude that there are no differences between the effectiveness of men and women when it comes to leadership. Women have surpassed men in education; then how come they are not occupying the top positions? Many believe it is the impact of history, as years ago; leadership positions were no accessible to women but mostly men. But when the world is changing, why is our mentality and beliefs not changing?

Today, women make up to almost half of the world population but still form a very minute fraction of the world’s leaders.  We believe all the talents, values and contributions of women should be seen as important as those of men. Women can help to create the perfect environment providing peace, security and economic growth for the world.

We came up with some common challenges women are facing in their workplace along with advices on how can you solved them.

 

  1. Equal treatment
    Equality is one of the biggest challenges faced by women in the workplace. Go for want you want in your career and never give up. Polish up the necessary skills required for your opportunities, it could be communication skills, leadership qualities and many more. Speak up and let your voice be heard. Don’t be scared to voice out specially in meetings, voice out!

     
  2. Being supported
    You may be having less support from other women. Hence start by being the change. Support other women and empower each other. Be fair, be humble, show togetherness, passion, enthusiasm and make it the foundation to progress through your career. Start today, by supporting and empowering women around you, and we assure you a change.
     
  3. Being confident
    Be confident of yourself and speak confidently. Lack of confidence can take you off your game. If you are clear on your purpose and you know where are you head t, you will be successful getting your desired results. Be comfortable to talk to anyone and speak confidently.
     
  4. Generating revenue
    Many women face challenges while growing their revenues. Let’s accept it-money solves everything; it gives you freedom and choices. We advise you to focus on what generates revenue. Some entrepreneurs called generating revenues as a hobby. Make sure you are using what you love doing to generate your revenues.
     
  5. Maintain healthy relationships
    Many women are often put down, pushed aside and bullied. Though it’s not easy to deal with but there is a way to get over it. Try to build and maintain healthy relationships create a strong personal impression, establish project guidelines and make yourself an expert in your field and most importantly communicate with confidence.
     
  6. Speak up
    Your presence is no enough, you should let you voice be heard regardless of all the odds. Don’t be scared of being rejected or disliked. Instead speak up and share your voice, opinion as they can make a significant difference. Be a good collaborator.
               
  7. Become a member of the c-suite
    Yes, it’s difficult to make your way up there. But persevere and take the bull by the horns. Know what you want and be relentless in your preparation. Take more risks and prepare yourself to take on more challenging roles. Accept challenges and prove yourself!
