Michelle is an American lawyer and writer who served as the First lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. She is married to Back Obama the 44th Us President and was the first African American First lady. She first started off with her legal career at the Sidley Austin law firm and subsequently worked as the Associate Dean of students Services at University of Chicago and the Vice President for Community And External Affairs of the University of Chicago Medical Center.

  • 1991-1992 -Assistant to Chicago Mayor Richard Daley.
  • 1992-1993 -Assistant Commissioner of Planning and Development.
  • 1993-1996 - Founding executive director of Public Allies Chicago.
  • 1996-2002 - Associate Dean of Student Services for the University of Chicago and director of the University Community Service Center.
